Foster Martin capped off an impressive first period as the Cougars struck for three in the first enroute to a 4-2 doubling of the Nanaimo Buccaneers at the Arch Thursday night. The series is now tied up at 1.
In addition to Martin’s winner, the Cougars picked up goals from Marshall Brown, Jaden McNulty and Kevan McBean.
The Buccaneers scored two quick ones in the second, 14 seconds apart. Trey Watson and Billy Walters were the goal scorers.
Lots of penalties in this one. Nanaimo was 0 for 10 and Victoria went 3 for 12.
