Brad Harvey – VIJHL Player from 1992-1995

I played two seasons with the Saanich Braves and one with the Kerry Park Islanders.

I remember when the Oceanside Generals were the Parksville Generals, and they played in the old Parksville arena down near the ocean.

I remember in my one season with Kerry Park, playing about five home games in Lake Cowichan, where the crowds were larger and louder.

I remember playing one season against the Port Alberni Bandits, where their fans were just great.

In the 80’s before I was in the league, I felt the best rivalry was between the Saanich Braves and Oak Bay Flyers.

Hi Greg,

I am with the Utah Grizzlies, in Vic playing the Salmon Kings this weekend. We had an off night, so I thought I’d catch game 5 of the Vic/Pen series.

I am very glad I did-the game was outstanding, teams were well coached, players competed hard, the officials were sharp.
The game was awesome, obviously came down to a few big plays late.

Just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed the game, and am very glad I attended it.

Best of luck to you and the VIJHL.

All the best.
