Kerry Park 3 Saanich 4 (SO)
Saanich Predators edged the visiting Kerry Park Islanders 4-3 in a shootout in Friday night VIJHL play in front of a crowd of 121 at George Pearkes Arena.
First star Nick Scott and Travis Swanson were the shootout scorers for the Predators, with Saanich netminder Jaden Vanderlee stopping 49 shots and both Islanders shootout attempts for the win. Second star Tarik Borhot, Mathieu Ouellette and Cole Friesen scored during regulation time as Saanich moved to 5-13-2 on the year.
Following a scoreless first period, Kerry Park had second period markers from Finlay Klippenstein, Jacob Morrison and Jobey Pearson to lead 3-1 after two frames. Bode Pearson was named third star of the contest. Kerry Park is now 12-4-1-1 for 26 points in third spot in the South Division.

Comox Valley 1 Victoria 9
A five point effort from first star Austin Garrett on three goals and two assists propelled the Victoria Cougars to a 9-1 decision over the Comox Valley Glacier Kings before 138 spectators at Archie Browning Arena.
Victoria led 3-0 and 6-0 by periods, and also had two goals from Joseph Melichar and singles from third star Jussi Saarni, Mathieu Sauve, Kelton Shinde and Cole Patterson, with second star Brandon Smith adding three assists. Lane Maarhuis blocked 22 shots in the cage for the Cougars, now 8-9-3.
Henry Toomer had the lone Glacier Kings marker, who had Aaron Pichette and Luca Vanzo combine for 29 saves in goal. Comox Valley is now 7-11-2.

Peninsula 4 Campbell River 3 (OT)
Second star Carson Harris fired three goals, including the winner at just 13 seconds of overtime, as the Peninsula Panthers edged the host Campbell River Storm 4-3 at Rod Brind’Amour Arena with 642 fans looking in.
The see-saw affair saw Brendan Williams also score for Peninsula, which led 3-0 after the first period before Campbell River stormed back with three goals in the second, two from first star Levente Birta and another from Dominic Grieco. Beckett Trado was named second star of the game. Kaeden Serpa made 28 saves for the Storm, with Jacob Walsh stopping 35 pucks for the Panthers.
Peninsula has still only lost one regulation game and with a 15-1-2 record, tops the South Division with 32 points, the same point total as North Division leader Campbell River, now at 14-4-4.

Nanaimo 5 Lake Cowichan 6 (OT)
First star Bevin Williams had three goals and an assist, and scored the winning goal at 7:24 of overtime to give the hometown Lake Cowichan Kraken a 6-5 decision over the Nanaimo Buccaneers at the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena.
Second star Kananga Mangala, who also had two assists, Gellert Kiss-Molnar and Cooper Barclay also scored for the Kraken, as Charles Fleming added two assists in a third star performance. Tanner Ferrill stopped 31 shots in net for the Kraken, now 6-12-2 on the season.
Nanaimo, 10-6-1, had goals from Kenneth Boychuk, Bowman Klippenstein, Jaxin Karst, Porter Williamson and Brody Lindal and led 2-0 after the first but trailed 5-3 after two frames. Darian Feser and Tristin Stephens combined for 14 saves in the Bucs net.
