Westshore 4 Saanich 3
Westshore Wolves scored the first four goals of the game then hung on to withstand a Saanich comeback for a 4-3 win in Friday night VIJHL action in front of 177 spectators at George Pearkes Arena.
First star Kansys Seney scored twice and Liam Donovan and Zion Lavoie once each for Westshore (25-12-5-1), which led 2-0 and 4-1 by periods and received 30 saves from second star, netminder Dryden Demelo.
Scoring for Saanich (10-30-3) were Mason Arnott, William Jenkins and Luke Kim, and third star, goalie William Rose, stopped all 17 shots he made in relief of Ty Tanton, who stopped 12 of 16 shots before being replaced early in the second frame.

Port Alberni 5 Campbell River 4
Port Alberni Bombers took a see-saw, back-and-forth 5-4 victory over the host North Division leading Campbell River Storm before 493 fans at Rod Brind-Amour Arena.
Port Alberni (24-12-4) second in the North with 52 points, scored the first two goals of the game in the second period but trailed 3-2 heading into the third before pulling ahead with the first three goals of the final frame. Leim Smith had two goals with second star Solstice Tennant, Sean Richards and Kai Verbrugge one apiece for the Bombers, who received 26 saves from netminder Evan Grant.
Campbell River (29-8-5) had two markers from first star Jan-Felix Faupel and singles from Ethan Hill and Tristan Williams, with Marshall Curri being named the third star. Kaeden Serpa finished with 33 saves in the Storm net.

Comox Valley 6 Lake Cowichan 4
Comox Valley roared out to a 4-0 lead and held on to take over third place in the North Division over the host Lake Cowichan Kraken with a 6-4 decision at the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena.
First star Rolan Amin had a goal and three assists for Comox Valley, which upped its record to 19-21-3 for 41 points, one up on Lake Cowichan (18-22-3-1), which has played one more game.
Comox Valley led 3-0 and 5-3 by periods and had single scores from Sheldon Alexander, Jaxen Davison, Austin Montgomery-Parsons, Gavin Mowat and Zaya Morro, along with 36 saves from Aaron Pichette, named the contest’s second star.
Third star Drury Lamb, Kadin Bilajbegovic, Charles Fleming and Gellert Kiss-Molnar tallied for the Kraken, who had Ethan Barron and Tanner Ferrill combine to stop 29 pucks.

Kerry Park 6 Peninsula 2
Kerry Park Islanders held 1-0 and 3-0 period leads to down Peninsula 6-2 and increase its South Division lead to five points over the Panthers as 200 people watched at Panorama Recreation Centre.
Kerry Park (32-6-3-1) now sits with 68 points, had goals from second star Brody Lindal, Carson Brown, Nate Grinevitch, Kyler Smith, Eric Stinson and Rylan Davis, with Caige Starr earning third star honours. Ethan Taylor earned the win in goal with 28 saves.
First star Lukas Preweda scored both goals for Peninsula (30-10-2-1), with Merik Grinaker stopping 24 shots in the Panthers net.
