Lake Cowichan 3 Oceanside 2
A trio of Lake Cowichan goals were sandwiched by a pair of Oceanside tallies as the Kraken beat the host Generals 3-2 in Saturday night VIJHL action in front of 258 fans at Oceanside Place.
Cooper Barclay, Drury Lamb and Charles Fleming scored for the Kraken, who after a 1-1 first period tie led 3-2 heading into the third. Benjamin Bertrand had two assists and was named first star for Lake Cowichan (9-18-2-1). Goalie Hayden Lovell made 33 saves for the win.
Levi Green and Carson Prescesky scored for Oceanside (3-20-3), which received another standout performance from netminder Hunter Farrer, who had 41 saves and was named second star. Jordan Campbell was third star of the contest.

Nanaimo 0 Kerry Park 7
First star Carson Brown had three goals and goalie Ethan Taylor stopped 34 shots for the shutout and was named third star as the hometown Kerry Park Islanders blanked the Nanaimo Buccaneers 7-0 at Kerry Park Arena.
Second star Jacob Morrison, Jobey Pearson, Finlay Klippenstein and Max Carlson had single markers for Kerry Park (19-5-1-1), who led 1-0 and 4-0 by periods.
Tristin Stephens had 49 saves for Nanaimo (11-13-1-1)

Peninsula 6 Comox 2
Three second period goals powered the Peninsula Panthers to a 6-2 decision over the Comox Valley Glacier Kings at the Comox Valley Sports Centre.
First star Jacob Caron, Lucas Prewada, Brendan Williams, Joe Marranzino, Kenyan Price and Lucas Ananias scored for the Panthers (23-1-2), which led 4-2 after the second period, following a 1-1 tie at the end of the first period. Second star Jacob Walsh made 38 saves in the Peninsula cage (10-15-3) and was named second star.
Jake Gislason had both goals for the Glacier Kings and was named third star, with goalie Aaron Pichette finishing with 30 stops.
