In front of 272 patrons from Nanaimo and near-by Oceanside, second star Darian Feser stopped all 16 shots that he faced to pick up his third shutout of the season to help the hometown Nanaimo Buccaneers blank the Oceanside Generals 4-0 at the Nanaimo Ice Center in Thursday night VIJHL action.
First star Porter Williamson tallied twice for the Bucs, who led 1-0 after the first and second periods as Kenneth Boychuk and Brody Lindal also scored. Nanaimo improved to 10-6 and sits in third place in the North Division.
Third star Hunter Farrer was outstanding in the Generals net, making a whopping 61 saves on the night as the Generals had 95 minutes in penalties and are now at 2-15-2.
