Westshore 1 Victoria 2
Second star Anthony Wilson scored twice in the second period to lead the Victoria Cougars to a 2-1 win over of the Westshore Wolves in Friday night VIJHL play in front of 198 fans at Archie Browning Arena.
Jesse Pye’s 33 saves earned the Cougars goalie the first star of the night in a game Westshore (19-4-4-1) led 1-0 after the first period on a goal by Kaden Ryan. Third star of the contest was Wolves netminder Dryden Demelo who finished with 18 stops.
Victoria’s victory pushed them over the .500 mark on the season with a 12-11-5 record.

Port Alberni 1 Peninsula 3
First star Jacob Walsh’s 35 saves and third period tallies by Brendan Williams and Lukas Preweda led the Peninsula Panthers to a 3-1 decision over the visiting Port Alberni Bombers before 184 spectators at Panorama Recreation Centre.
Carson Harris scored in the first period for South Division leading Peninsula (22-1-2), who had three assists from second star Jacob Caron, while Kai Verbrugge tied the game in the second for Port Alberni (18-8-3). Evan Grant was named third star with a 27 save performance in the Bombers cage.

Saanich 1 Campbell River 2
First star Logan Wright opened the scoring in the first and Jacob Kulas added another marker in the second period to lead the host Campbell River Storm to a 2-1 triumph over the Saanich Predators in front of 457 people at Rod Brind’Amour Arena.
Kaidan Adano of the North Division leading Storm (19-5-4) was named second star of the contest, as Mathieu Ouellette, in the third period was the only Predator to beat Campbell River goalie Kaeden Serpa, who finished with 27 saves.
Third star of the contest was Saanich (8-17-2) net detective Jaden Vanderlee for stopping 46 pucks.

Kerry Park 6 Lake Cowichan 3
Newest Kerry Park Islander Brody Lindal, acquired in a trade from the Nanaimo Buccaneers, made a grand entrance with a goal and two assists and first star honours as the visitors doubled Lake Cowichan Kraken 6-3 at the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena.
Kerry Park (18-5-1-1) led 4-2 and 4-3 by periods, and had their other markers come from the sticks of Finlay Klippenstein with two, and second star Jacob Morrison, Jobey Pearson and Bryce Burnett with one apiece. Carter Puska earned the win in net with 32 stops.
Bevin Williams, Charles Fleming and Cooper Barclay were the marksmen for Lake Cowichan (8-18-2-1) while Kananga Mangala had an assist and was the game’s third star and Hayden Lovell made 28 saves in goal.
