Lake Cowichan 1 Westshore 4
First star Jackson Campbell and second star Zion Lavoie scored third period goals to help the hometown Westshore Wolves pull away from the Lake Cowichan Kraken 4-1 in Wednesday night VIJHL action at the Q Centre.
Alejandro Snead and Ashton Vine-Sullivan were the other Wolves to beat Lake Cowichan netminder Tanner Ferrill, who finished with 27 saves. Third star Gellert Kiss-Molnar was named third star and was the lone Kraken to beat James Hall, who had 23 stops in the Westshore cage.
Westshore (19-3-4-1) led 2-1 after the second period, with the first frame ending in a scoreless tie. Lake Cowichan is now 8-17-2-1.

Campbell River 6 Port Alberni 4
Goals from third star Jan-Felix Faupel and an empty netter from Logan Vigneault enabled the Campbell River Storm to upend the Port Alberni Bombers 6-4 at the Alberni Valley Multiplex and take over top spot in the North Division.
Second star Jacob Kulas had two goals and Ethan Hill and Dominic Grieco added singles for the Storm (18-5-4), which trailed 2-1 after the first period and clawed back to a 4-4 tie after two frames. Kaeden Serpa had 34 stops in goal from Campbell River, which still has a game in hand over Port Alberni and lead them by one point in the standings.
Port Alberni (18-7-3) had three goals from first star Jack Barrett and another from Kash Nicklin, and Tom Forrest made 17 saves in the Bombers net.
