Kerry Park 9 Saanich 5
Kerry Park Islanders drowned the Saanich Predators with seven first period goals enroute to a 9-5 victory in Friday night VIJHL play at George Pearkes Arena.
First star Carson Brown led the with four goals for Kerry Park (30-6-3-1), which is in first place in the South Division with 64 points, three up on Peninsula.
Second star Rylan Davis had a goal and three assists, with Kerry Park’s singles coming from Benjamin Stocks, Bryce Burnett, Parker Lawrence and Kyler Smith, as the Islanders held 7-1 and 9-3 leads by period. Goalie Noah Stenvig stopped 40 shots for the win.
Saanich (10-28-3) had two goals and an assist from third star Elijah Kim, with the other Predators goals coming from Tarik Borhot with two and Maxime Simard with one. William Rose and Ty Tanton combined for 48 saves in the hosts net.

Oceanside 2 Westshore 1
Oceanside Generals never trailed, holding 1-0 and 2-1 period leads, and hung on to defeat the Westshore Wolves in their Juan de Fuca Arena lair.
Oceanside (9-28-4) was led by a 50 save performance from first star, goalie Josh Nuttall, with Brodie Wade earning third star honours with two assists. Logan Lough and Ryken Lay were the Generals marksmen.
Second star Linden Hoskins had the lone goal for Westshore (24-11-5-1), which received 22 stops from netminder James Hall.

Nanaimo 1 Peninsula 4
Third star Brendan Williams scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Peninsula Panthers to a 4-1 victory over the Nanaimo Buccaneers in front of 389 fans at Panorama Recreation Centre.
First star Alex Sajan had a goal and two assists, with second star Clayton Collier adding a pair of helpers for Peninsula (29-8-2-1), who also had a tally from Oskar Aitken Salmons, and 27 saves from Merik Grinaker.
Nanaimo (15-22-2-2) received a 42 save effort from backstop Darian Feser, with Baden Pazdzierski scoring the lone goal for the Bucs in the third period, as Peninsula led 1-0 and 4-0 by frames.

Lake Cowichan 0 Campbell River 1 (OT)
Second star Ludovick Filion’s goal at 4:52 of overtime gave the hometown Campbell River Storm a 1-0 victory over the Lake Cowichan Kraken in front of 532 spectators at Rod Brind’Amour Arena.
Third star Kaeden Serpa stopped all 23 pucks he faced in the Storm net, while first star, Kraken goaltender Ethan Barron stopped an incredible 63 of 64 shots to drag the game into extra time.
Campbell River increased its lead atop the North with 61 points (28-8-5), while Lake Cowichan took over sole possession of third in the Division with 38 points (17-21-3-1), although Comox Valley, one point back, has two games in hand.
