Oceanside 3 Saanich 4
First star Elijah Kim scored two goals for the Saanich Predators, who sandwiched all of their scores between Oceanside Generals markers in a 4-3 victory in Friday night VIJHL at George Pearkes Arena.
Saanich (8-16-2) led 3-1 and 4-2 by periods and also had goals from second star Mathieu Ouellette and Matt Kerr. Jaden Vanderlee made 32 saves in the Predators cage.
Oceanside (3-19-2) scorers were third star Jackson Bostock, Dylan Matthews and Logan Lough. Goalie Josh Nuttall had 37 stops in the game.

Comox Valley 1 Campbell River 3
Campbell River Storm scored twice in the first period and led 2-1 heading into the third period enroute to a 3-1 decision over the Comox Valley Glacier Kings at Rod Brind’Amour Arena.
First star Kai Williams, Beckett Trado and Levente Birta were the marksmen for the Storm (17-5-4), who moved one point ahead of the Port Alberni Bombers atop the North Division with 38. Jacob Kulas was named the game’s second star and Luc Gravel stopped 25 shots for the win in net.
Comox Valley (10-13-3) had their goal scored by Jaxen Davison as Quintus Mah was the third star of the contest. Aaron Pichette had 35 saves between the Glacier Kings pipes.

Port Alberni 1 Lake Cowichan 2
Second star Hayden Lovell blocked 29 of 30 shots to lead the host Lake Cowichan Kraken to a 2-1 win over the Port Alberni Bombers at the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena.
Following a scoreless first period, Aleksander Leonelli opened the scoring for the Kraken, with Luke Bennett’s goal at 16:10 of the third putting Lake Cowichan (7-16-2-1) ahead for good. The Kraken’s Carter Anderson was the first star.
Port Alberni (17-5-3) netminder Damien Knackstedt was named the third star for making 16 stops, with Casey Rutland counting the Bombers’ lone goal.

Kerry Park 3 Peninsula 6
Ethan Lingard’s two goals paced the Peninsula Panthers to a 6-3 doubling of the Kerry Park Islanders at the Panorama Recreation Centre in Sidney.
First star Lucas Ananias, Jacob Caron, Carson Harris and Brayden Hickling were the other Panthers goal scorers, as Lukas Prewada added two assists in a second star performance. Peninsula (21-1-2) has 44 points and only one regulation loss to lead the South Division, and they had 25 stops from goalie Merik Grinaker.
Finlay Klippenstein with two and Cameron Lott with one were the goal scorers for the Islanders (16-5-1-1), who received an amazing 57 save effort from third star, goalie Ethan Taylor.
