Westshore 1 Peninsula 2 (OT)
Alex Sajan scored at 2:57 of overtime to give the Peninsula Panthers a 2-1 win over the Westshore Wolves in Friday night VIJHL South Division semi-final playoff action with 279 fans watching at the Panorama Recreation Centre.
First star Joe Marranzino had a goal and an assist for Peninsula, who had 26 saves from first star goalie Hunter Farrer. The teams battled to a 0-0 draw after the first period and 1-1 after the second. Peninsula now leads the series 2-1.
Kansys Seney scored for Westshore and second star Dryden Demelo stopped 33 shots for the Wolves.

Port Alberni 4 Comox Valley 3
Kenneth Boychuk and Solstice Tennant each scored twice to lead the Port Alberni Bombers past the Comox Valley Glacier Kings 4-3 with 625 spectators looking on at the Comox Valley Sports Centre.
Port Alberni now leads the series 2-0 in their North Division semi-final and after a 1-1 first period tie, led 4-3 after two, with the third frame being scoreless. Leim Smith had three assists to earn first star honours, while Evan Grant stopped 35 shots in the Bombers goal and was named second star.
Third star Dylan Lamberto, Brigham Nye and Rolan Amin had the Glacier Kings goals, with Aaron Pichette and Luca Vanzo combining to make 39 saves for Comox Valley.

Lake Cowichan 1 Campbell River 3
Logan Vignault scored all three goals in a first star performance to lead the Campbell River Storm to a 3-1 over the Lake Cowichan Kraken in Friday night VIJHL playoff action in front of 818 fans at Rod Brind’Amour Arena.
Campbell River led 1-0 and 2-1 by periods to take a 3-0 lead in their best-of-seven North Division semi-final, with Beckett Trado being named second star and Tristan Williams third. Kaeden Serpa made 22 stops for the win.
Charles Fleming had the lone Lake Cowichan goal and Tanner Ferrill made 45 saves in the Kraken cage.
