Kerry Park 6 Saanich 4
Kerry Park Islanders scored the last six goals of the game, including four in the third period, to overcome a 4-0 deficit to defeat the hometown Saanich Predators 6-4 in Friday night VIJHL action at George Pearkes Arena.
Ethan Taylor came on in relief of Ethan Barron and stopped all 22 shots he faced in the Islanders net to earn the win and first star honours, as Kerry Park had three goals from third star Carson Brown and single markers from Jacob Morrison, Rylan Davis and Jobey Pearson to improve their record to 8-4-1 for third spot in the South Division.
Second star Luke Kim notched a pair of goals for Saanich, with singles coming from Nick Scott and Luke Westhaver as the Predators led 3-0 and 3-2 by periods. Jadon Vanderlee stopped 48 drives between the pipes for Saanich, which is now 4-11-2 on the season.

Oceanside 1 Campbell River 3
Oceanside Generals scored the first goal of the game before the hometown Campbell River Storm came back to take a 3-1 victory in front of 787 spectators at Rod Brind’Amour Arena.
First star Dominic Grieco, Koehn Obuck and Ethan Hill were the Storm scorers, as the teams were tied 1-1 after two, with Campbell River taking a 3-1 lead after the second before a scoreless third frame. Ludovick Filion added an assist and was named third star as the hosts opened a five point lead atop the North Division with 25 on a 12-4-1 record.
Oceanside goal scorer Jasper Fellbaum was the game’s third star and was the lone General to beat Storm tender Luc Gravel, who finished with 16 stops. Josh Nuttall made 28 saves for the visitors, who sit at 2-11-2.

Westshore 7 Lake Cowichan 1
Kaden Ryan scored a hat trick to help the Westshore Wolves defeat the Lake Cowichan Kraken 7-1 at the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena in front of 296 fans.
Westshore led 3-1 and 4-1 by frames and also had goals from Cade Dupont, Kaden Ryan, Adam Gillberg and Noah Gebicki to raise their record to 11-2-1 and 24 points.
Brady Croft was the Kraken scorer against Dryden Demelo who stopped 18 shots for the win. Tanner Ferrill was busy in making 32 saves for the Kraken, which is now 3-10-2 on the year.

Comox Valley 1 Peninsula 4
First star Ethan Hoffman scored twice to lead the host Peninsula Panthers to a 4-1 decision over the Comox Valley Glacier Kings in front of 132 people at the Panorama Recreation Center.
Third star Cole Sather had a goal and an assist and Joe Marranzino also scored for the Panthers, who led 1-0 and 3-1 by periods to move to 12-1-2 on the season for 26 points and earn a share of top spot in the South.
Aaron Pichette was outstanding in the Glacier Kings cage with 50 saves to be named the game’s second star, with the lone Comox Valley tally coming off the stick of Zane Rajcic. The Yetis are now 6-8-2 in the standings.
