Victoria 3 Westshore 4
Westshore Wolves scored the first three goals of the third period to pull out a 4-3 win over the Victoria Cougars before 158 spectators at The Q Centre in Wednesday night VIJHL action.
Liam Donovan, Jackson Campbell, Zion Lavoie and Kansys Seney scored for the Wolves, and goalie James Hall stopped 31 shots and was named third star of the game.
Second star Cole Patterson, Cohen Haines and Mathieu Ouellette were the goal scorers for Victoria, which led 1-0 and 2-1 by periods and had a 34 save performance from first star, netminder Ryder Lally.
Victoria (24-16-6) will finish fourth in the South Division and Westshore (28-12-6-1) third, as the Wolves can’t catch the Peninsula Panthers for second place. The Cougars will play Kerry Park Islanders in the first round of playoffs which starts next week, as Westshore will tangle with Peninsula in the other South Division semi-final.

Comox Valley 3 Port Alberni 5
Port Alberni Bombers scored the last three goals of the game and took a 5-3 victory over the visiting Comox Valley Glacier Kings in front of 288 spectators at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
Second star Leim Smith, Kai Verbrugge, Jack Barrett, Sean Richards and Sam Davidson were the marksmen for the Bombers, which led 1-0 after the first frame, with the teams deadlocked at 2-2 heading into the third. Grayson Salmon was named first star on a two assist effort, and Evan Grant earned the win in goal with 24 stops.
Third star Rolan Amin had two goals and an assist, with Henry Toomer scoring the other Glacier Kings tally, as goaltender Aaron Pichette blocked 37 shots on the night.
Port Alberni (29-13-4) now has 62 points, just one point behind North Division leading Campbell River Storm, with each team having two games remaining in the regular season schedule.
Comox Valley (20-24-3) is one point ahead of fourth place Lake Cowichan which has 42 points, but the Kraken have two games remaining while the Glacier Kings have only one.
