Port Alberni 2 Oceanside 3
First star Levi Green scored the winning goal with 1:12 remaining in the third period to give the Oceanside Generals a 3-2 win over the Port Alberni Bombers at Oceanside Place.
Second star Jasper Fellbaum had given the hosts an early lead less than a minute into the first frame, although Port Alberni had Elliot Kuprash and Leim Smith light the lamp to give the visitors a 2-1 lead they held until the third period.
Brander Lambert tied the game for in the third and Oceanside (4-21-3) received 41 saves from netminder Josh Nuttall to take the win.
Sean Richards had two assists for Port Alberni (18-9-4) and was named third star and goalie Evan Grant stopped 25 shots in the contest.
Saanich 5 Victoria 1
Nick Scott had a pair of goals to help the Saanich Predators take a 5-1 decision over the Victoria Cougars at Archie Browning Arena.
Mathieu Ouellette, Von Parsons and Boston Cripps also scored for Saanich (9-19-2), who had 25 saves in goal from first star Ty Stanton, and two assists from second star Conall Hill in the contest they led 2-1 heading into the third after a 1-1 first period tie.
Third star Jacob Bernardo had the lone marker for Victoria, now 13-12-5, with Jesse Pye and Lane Maarhuis combining for 20 stops on the night.
Kerry Park 1 Comox 6
First star Rolan Amin scored twice and added a helper to lead the Comox Valley Glacier Kings to a 6-1 decision over Kerry Park at the Comox Valley Sports Centre.
Second star Sheldon Alexander had a goal and three assists for the hosts, who also had tallies from Gavin Mowat, Westin Churchill and Brayden Candy as Comox Valley (12-15-3) never trailed, leading 2-0 and 6-0 by periods, thanks to stellar netminding from Aaron Pichette, who blocked 40 of 41 shots and was named third star.
Jobey Pearson had the lone goal for Kerry Park (20-5-1-1), who had Etahan Barron and Ethan Taylor share 37 saves in net.
