Second star Dominic Grieco and third start Tristan Williams each scored twice as a six-goal first period powered the Campbell River Storm to a 10-3 VIJHL victory over the Nanaimo Buccaneers at Nanaimo Ice Centre Thursday night.
Other goals for Campbell River (20-5-4) came off the sticks of Ethan Hill, Lucas Beaudoin, Dylan Toth, Jan-Felix Faupel, Kai Williams and Levente Birta. First star Jacob Kulas had four assists, and netminder Mike Duplain blocked 26 shots for the win.
Nanaimo (11-16-1-1) had markers from Bowman Klippenstein, Kenneth Boychuk and Bostyn MacDonald, with goalies Tristin Stephens and Darian Feser combining to make 33 saves.
