First star Austin Garrett and second star Cole Patterson each scored twice to lead the host Victoria Cougars to a 6-1 win over the Saanich Predators in front of 185 fans at Archie Browning Arena in Sunday VIJHL action.
Jesse Pye was named third star as he made 11 saves on the night, sharing the Cougars crease with Lane Maarhuis as Victoria reached the .500 mark with a 9-9-3 record and 21 points. Carter Crabb and Tyler Delli-Carri were the other scorers for the victors.
Nick Scott had the goal for Saanich, which had Jaden Vanderlee and Ty Tanton combine for 34 saves, with the Predators now at 5-14-2.
