Victoria 6 Saanich 0
Lane Maarhuis posted a 23 shot shutout and was the game’s first star while leading the Victoria Cougars to a 6-0 blanking of the host Saanich Warriors in Friday night VIJHL action at George Pearkes Arena.
Victoria (16-13-5) led 1-0 and 5-0 by periods and had single goals from third star Anson Speirs, Joseph Melichar, Anthony Wilson, Tyler Delli-Carri, Aiden Beavan and Griffin Webb. Jacob Bernardo had an assist and was named second star.
Ty Tanton stopped 28 shots in net for Saanich (9-23-2).

Westshore 4 Peninsula 3 (SO)
Kaden Ryan had the lone shootout goal, giving the Westshore Wolves edge the Peninsula Panthers 4-3 after overtime failed to produce a victor in front of 250 fans at Panorama Recreation Centre.
Third star Sam Spring, Liam Donovan and Brett Herle were the marksmen for Westshore (23-7-4-1), which trailed 2-1 after the first period but led 3-2 heading into the third. Goalie Dryden Demelo stopped 38 pucks.
First star Carson Harris, Ethan Lingard and Jacob Eddy scored for Peninsula (27-5-2), who had Clayton Collier named second star, with goalie Merik Grinaker blocking 24 shots in the Panthers net.

Kerry Park 4 Lake Cowichan 1
First star Jobey Pearson and second star Brody Lindal each popped a goal and an assist to lead the Kerry Park Islanders past the hometown Lake Cowichan Kraken 4-1 at the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena.
Following a scoreless first frame, Kerry Park (24-6-2-1) led 2-1 after two periods, with third star Luke Bennett being the only Kraken to crack netminder Carter Puska, who stopped 36 shots on the night. Bode Pearson and Colby Robinson both had goals.
Hayden Lovell, goalie for Lake Cowichan (13-20-2-1), finished with 34 saves.

Nanaimo 2 Campbell River 4
First star Jan-Felix Faupel tallied twice to lead the Campbell River Storm to a 4-2 doubling of the Nanaimo Buccaneers before 637 faithful at Rod Brind’Amour Arena.
Second star Henry Davis and Logan Vigneault were the other goal scorers for Campbell River (27-4-2), who had a 23 save effort from goalie Mike Duplain.
Third star Jaxin Karst and Bowman Klippenstein were the goal scorers for Nanaimo (13-19-1-1), as goalie Parker Ambury stopped 31 shots.
