The VIJHL has announced its Rookies of the Month for October.
- Jordan Ramsay of the Victoria Cougars was the Top Rookie Forward for 9 goals and 10 assists and 19 points in 9 games.
- Nate Barclay of the Nanaimo Buccaneers was the Top Rookie Defenseman with 3 goals, 7 assists and 10 points in 9 games.
- Matus Volovar of the Peninsula Panthers was the Top Rookie Goalie with a 1.33 goals against average, and a .958 save percentage in 3 games.
