VICTORIA- In a 3-way deal completed Friday, the Cougars have picked up 20 year-old forward Ryan Strange. Strange led the Braves in scoring last year as a point per game player and will join his younger brother Kieran in a Cougars uniform for the upcoming season. As part of the deal the Cougars have sent Jude Wessel and the playing rights for Hark Gill to the brand new Chilliwack Jets expansion team of the PJHL. The Braves received a Player Development Fee/Futures from Chilliwack.
”Jude and Hark have both been excellent Cougars. Their dedication to their team and what they brought to the table was second to none and we can’t thank them enough for their contributions.“ Said Head Coach Brody Coulter. He continued, “Ryan will be a huge addition to our team this season. He’s well rounded and can play in all situations. Having to play against him for the past few years has been tough and as a staff we can’t wait to see what he can do in a cougars uniform.”
