The VIJHL announced its Stars of the Week following the first week of play in the 2025-26 season.
- Nicolas Kalinocka of the Lake Cowichan Kraken was named Forward of the Week due to a five-point performance – three goals and two assists – in the Kraken’s season opening 6-3 win over the Port Alberni Bombers on September 5.
- Joe Marranzino of the Peninsula Panthers was named Defenseman of the Week with a goal and four assists for five points in two games for the defending champion Panthers, who opened their season 2-0.
- Lane Maarhuis of the Victoria Cougars was named Goaltender of the Week thanks to stopping 30 of 31 shots in Victoria’s 7-1 win over the Kerry Park Islanders on September 6.
