Team South may have conceded the opening goal but there was no doubt they came to play taking down the North side 6-2 at the 2019 Prospects game in Saanich Sunday afternoon. Connor Eddy (2 goals, 1 assist), Isaac Leik (2 goals), Kahlil Fontana (1 goal, 1 assist) and Dylan Parsons (2 assists) led the South.
This game featured end to end action, tape to tape passes, stellar goaltending and some edginess. All 6 goaltenders acquitted themselves well with Anderson Violette earning a clean sheet in his 20 minutes. The North netminders faced 59 shots (Jaden Little 22, Aaron de Kok 21 and Matthias Smith 16)
For the second straight year, Zach Guerra and Brandon McClintick picked up points for the South. A goal for Zach and an assist for Brandon.
The Saanich Braves and their Prospects Game organizers did a great job of pulling this event together for the 42 young men that hit the ice and put on a great show.
Connor Eddy was the South Game Star while Aaron de Kok was selected for the North.
