Oct. 8: Ryan Hat Trick Paces Westhore To Victory

First star Kaden Ryan bagged a hat trick and second star Parker Atkinson fired two goals and an assist to lead the Westshore Wolves to a 6-2 decision over the visiting Kerry Park Islanders in front of 156 fans at The Q Centre in Colwood in Wednesday night VIJHL play.

Kerry Park never trailed, leading 2-0 and 5-2 by periods, and they also had a goal from Kansys Seney and 25 saves from goalie David Dvorak.

Third star Nate Grinevitch had both Islanders goals, and netminder Carter Puska finished with 42 stops.

Westshore leads the South Division with 19 points from 12 games, and Atkinson leads the league in points with 29, including 11 goals.

Peninsula 4 Saanich 0

Lucas Ananias fired two goals to lead the Peninsula Panthers to a 4-0 shutout of the Saanich Predators at George Pearkes Arena.

Colton Pyle earned the shutout with 16 saves, as Peninsula led 1-0 and 2-0 by frames and also had goals from Logan Barnes and Jacob Eddy.

Jacob Walsh stopped 54 shots between the Predators pipes.
