Campbell River 2 Westshore 4
A hat trick from first star Parker Atkinson helped the Westshore Wolves double the visiting Campbell River Storm 4-2 in Wednesday night VIJHL action at The Q Centre.
Westshore led 2-0 and 2-1 by periods, and their other goal came from third star Linden Hoskins. James Hall made 27 saves to earn the win in goal for the Wolves, who jumped into sole position of first place in the South Division with 29 points, two up on the Peninsula Panthers which has two games in hand.
Atkinson is now second in league scoring with 35 points, three behind leader Joseph Melichar of the Victoria Cougars.
Second star Elliott Turgeon and Jack Smith scored for Campbell River, who received 27 stops from netminder Luc Gravel.
