Comox 4 Westshore 6
Westshore Wolves scored three unanswered third period goals to overcome the Comox Valley Glacier Kings 6-4 in Wednesday night VIJHL play at The Q Centre.
Westshore led 2-1 after the first but trailed 4-3 after two frames before the third period tallies to take over top spot in the South Division with 25 points, two up on the Peninsula Panthers who have two games in hand.
First star Noah Gebicki, Owen Hentschel, Jackson Buie, Kansys Seney, Jasper Fellbaum and Alejandro Snead were the goal scorers for the Wolves, with Linden Hoskins chipping in two assists to earn third star honours, and Ander Reyes stopping 33 shots for the win in net.
Second star Ethan Gobel, Zaya Morro, Leon Mikhalchuk and Cohen Kallin tallied for the Glacier Kings, who received 22 saves from goaltender Timothee Fengos.
