Westhore Wolves scored the last five goals to secure an 8-5 victory over the Saanich Predators in Wednesday VIJHL play as 188 fans watched at The Q Centre.

Second star Tyson Schamehorn had three goals, first star Noah Gebicki two goals and two assists, and Dylan Hoskins, Kansys Seney and Shane Fillinger one apiece for Westshore (15-2-1), which trailed Saanich 4-3 after a wild first period, but pulled ahead 6-5 after two frames, pulled into a first place tie at 31 points with the Peninsula Panthers, who have a game in hand. David Dvorak and James Hall combined for 23 saves in the Wolves lair.

Third star Von Parsons paced the Predators with two goals and an assist, while Maxime Simard, Kaydin Halladay and Travis Swanson also dented the twine. Asher Uniat and Jacob Walsh made 42 stops together in the Saanich net.
