Nov. 26: Spring Leads Wolves Over Bucs

First star Sam Spring fired two goals and added an assist to help the Westshore Wolves double the Nanaimo Buccaneers 4-2 in Wednesday night VIJHL play in front of 126 fans at The Q Centre.

Westshore (19-4-2) led 1-0 and 3-1 by periods and also had single markers from Kaden Ryan and Parker Atkinson. Linkin Niedoba added three assists and was named second star, and netminder James Hall blocked 24 shots to earn third star honours.

Nanaimo (13-9-1) had their goals come from the sticks of Rhys Wilcox and Madden Cruickshank, and received 35 saves from Aaron Pichette between the Bucs pipes.
