Jan. 21: Generals Edge Panthers In Battle Of Division Leaders

Ryder Bradford’s unassisted goal with 2:53 left in the third period gave the Oceanside Generals a 5-4 victory over the Peninsula Panthers in a battle of VIJHL Division leaders Wednesday night at Oceanside Place in Parksville.

Oceanside (25-11-1 for 51 points, first in North Division) scored the first three goals of the game and led 3-0 and 4-2 by periods, but Peninsula scored three in a row of their own to tie the game in the third frame. First star Braylon Becker, second star Logan Duncan, Jacob Leamy and Max Boyle had the other goals for the winners, and Ethan Suhr finished with 44 stops in the Generals goal.

Peninsula (30-4-1 for 61 points, first in South Division) had their goals from third star Brendan Williams, Jacob Caron, Logan Barnes and Oskar Aitken-Salmons. Matus Volovar had 22 saves between the Panthers pegs.
