Jan. 14: Wolves Storm Back To Down Kraken

Lake Cowichan Kraken jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead before the Westshore Wolves stormed back with six straight goals to take a 6-2 VIJHL victory Wednesday night at The Q Centre.

Westshore (25-7-4 for 54 points, second in the South Division) was led by first star Trace Anderson’s two goals and singles from Elijah Kim, Parker Atkinson, Jasper Fellbaum and Tyson Schamehorn, and third star Kansys Seney added three assists. Ander Reyes stopped 27 shots for the win in goal.

Second star Iaroslav Morosov had both goals for Lake Cowichan (11-22-1-1 for 24 points, sixth in the North) with Alfie Blakeley going the distance in the Kraken cage with 33 saves.
