The VIJHL announced its Rookies of the Month for January 2026. They are:
- Jordan Ramsay of the Victoria Cougars is the Rookie Forward of the Month with 5 goals, 12 assists and 17 points in 10 games.
- Andrew Warne of the Lake Cowichan Kraken is the Rookie Defenseman of the Month with 2 goals, 8 assists and 10 points in 8 games.
- Joseph Naccarato of the Port Alberni Bombers is the Rookie Goalie of the Month with 3 wins in 5 games, a 2.43 goals against average and .942 save percentage.
