The VIJHL announces its Rookies of the Month for December as the league enters the Christmas break.
- Elliott Turgeon of the Campbell River Storm was the top Rookie Forward with five goals and five assists for 10 points in 6 games.
- Nate Barclay of the Nanaimo Buccaneers was the top Rookie Defenseman with three goals, five assists and eight points in six games.
- Ander Reyes of the Westshore Wolves was the top Rookie Goalie with a .951 save percentage and 1.36 goals against average.
