Westshore 3 at Comox Valley 5

Comox Valley Glacier Kings jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never trailed during a 5-3 upset of the Westshore Wolves in Saturday night VIJHL play at the Comox Valley Sports Centre.

Comox Valley (14-13-2-1 for 31 points, third in the North Division) led 2-0 and 5-2 by periods, and had their goals from first star Tegan Clayton, second star Landon Morris, third star Leon Mikhalchuk, Cohen Kallin and Quinten Harvie. Netminder Anthony Ganoung was outstanding in making 31 saves to earn the victory.

Jasper Fellbaum with a pair and Kansys Seney with a single scored for Westshore (22-5-3 for 47 points, second in the South Division. Goalies James Hall and Ander Reyes had 37 saves combined.

Kerry Park 1 Oceanside 3

Oceanside Generals never trailed on their way to a 4-1 win over the Kerry Park Islanders a goal in front of 424 fans at Oceanside Place.

Second star Hunter Toth scored two third period goals for North Division leading Oceanside (19-9-1 for 39 points), who led 2-1 after the second period following a scoreless first. Jacob Leamyand Braeyen Newans had the other goals for the Generals, with Andreas Bylerius turning in a first star effort to finish with 26 saves between the pipes.

Parker Lawrence had the Islanders goal for the Islanders (2-27), and Benjamin Stocks added an assist and was named third star. Joshua Dubreuil finished with 34 saves.
