Dec. 10: Oceanside Fires Four Straight To Pull Away From Glacier Kings

After a 2-2 first period tie, the North Division leading Oceanside Generals scored four straight goals to march to a 6-2 VIJHL victory over the Comox Valley Glacier Kings in front of 273 fans at Oceanside Place Wednesday night.

First star Max Boyle had a goal and two assists to pace Oceanside (18-9-1 for 37 points), which led 3-2 heading into the final frame. The other Generals markers came from Braeyen Newans, Jacob Leamy, Dylan Matthews, Seth Corlazzoli and Luka Ouimette, with Levi Hollatz stopping 35 shots to earn second star honours.

Comox Valley (12-13-2-1 for 27 points) had their goals from Leon Mikhalchuk and Maxim Lefebvre with third star Kyle Mayenburg assisting on both. Silas Dromarsky and Anthony Ganoung combined for 34 saves in the game.

 

Kerry Park 0 Westshore 12

Westshore Wolves pounded the Kerry Park Islanders 12-0 at The Q Centre.

Led by second star Trace Anderson’s three goals, Westshore led 2-0 and 8-0 by periods. Kansys Seney with two, and Linden Hoskins, Sam Spring, Daniil Diachkov, Alejandro Snead, Parker Williamson, Noahj Gebicki and Shane Fillinger with one each scored for the Wolves, who also had three assists from first star Parker Atikinson. Ander Reyes was named third star with his 24 save shutout.

Joshua Dubreuil and Carter Puska combined for 24 saves for the Islanders.
