The Campbell River Storm are hosting their annual alumni game this Sunday, Nov. 3rd at the Rod Brind’Amour arena, puck drop at 12:30.
This fun game will feature names and faces from the Storm’s storied past. The proceeds all go towards Cameryn’s Cause for Kids Society, which is a local charity that helps to provide financial assistance to local families when they have a child facing a health crisis.
When asked waht this event means to him and the community, Alumni Alex Benjestorf had this answer “The Campbell River hockey community is extremely supportive and a great place to come and watch, support a local charity and see some history of the team play. There are many exceptional players that have come through this team, it’s a blast to play in and I enjoy it year after year.” Alex was a player in the VIJHL from 2010-2013 and finished with 1.22 PPG and accumulated 169 PIMs during that time. He will be playing this Sunday during the alumni game along side other Alumni including our own VIJHL Vice President Jordan Kamprath.
Come on out and support this worthy cause while cheering on your Storm heros!
