Third star Kai Williams and Kai Adano scored third period goals to lift the Campbell River Storm to a 5-3 victory over the host Port Alberni Bombers to earn themselves a place in the VIJHL Playoff Final with a 4-2 North Division series win in Thursday night VIJHL playoff action in front of 617 fans at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
First star Jan-Felix Faupel scored twice and Draeden Bear once for the North Division regular season champion Storm, which pulled away after the clubs were tied 2-2 after the first period and 3-3 following the second. Kaeden Serpa stopped 39 shots to earn the win in goal.
Second star Jack Barrett, Zach Spafford and Grayson Salmon had the Bombers tallies, while netminder Evan Grant blocked 36 pucks. There were only three penalties in the contest.
Campbell River will face South Division champion Peninsula Panthers in the VIJHL playoff final series starting next week.
